My Writing

Beginning
A long time ago alone in my room I made books by placing sheets together, folding them in half and stapling them together. Theses had rudimentary drawings and words. Content forgotten.

Discovering
I wrote one short story for school literary magazine entitled "Reconciliation" Kept diaries for years and years followed by years of amazing growth producing experiences that eventually led me to a need to write and tell my story. I began to attend writing work shops led in The Amherst Method, and attendedThe Institute for Creative Writing on Martha's Vineyard for several summer sessions, while writing more and more regularly and consistently. During this period I wrote and completed several books which I thankfully never published and began to learn the craft of writing.

Creating
I continued to learn the craft of writing and in 2015 moved to North Carolina to be close to family and write full time. My books are about solitude and connection, loosing and searching, endings and beginnings and joy. I think I have a gift for poetic description. I struggle with getting words in order. I hope to encourage others by the story of my journey to authenticity.
