Individual Private Classes
I work with you from where you are, whether you require a more healing setting than a gym, have an interest in deepening your personal practice, want an introduction to yoga or need to work within your available range of motion, to alleviate stress, while honoring your body. I frequently work with people who are injured and want gentle exercise that are easy on their joints and which expand their range of motion, create mental steadiness and overall body comfort. I teach yoga with a deep awareness and respect for each person's differing ability and mobility. Not every yoga pose is right for everyone. Often doctors, chiropractors and therapists refer their patients to me as I am able to specially adapt and modify poses for a range of needs and abilities, musculoskeletal and health conditions, and chronic diseases. I teach with the aim of supporting the student in gaining strength, flexibility and balance as well as a calm mind with a combination breathing, yoga postures, and meditation to create increased mental and physical awareness, growth and joy. All yoga is therapeutic. Yet working one on one with a person who has a specific condition, chronic ailment or situation with which they're dealing are best addressed individually. One reason is that each person's body is different. Also some people prefer the privacy of being outside a gym or large class setting. Limiting conditions are also more responsive to individual rather than group teaching.
